After few years of enforced absence we are back on the scene from 7th to 15th May 2011 with the eighteenth Show Contest "Model what a passion!" in the location of Mirafiori Motor Village at Turin. In the absence of of the prestigious Car Museum still under renovation so we found a prestigious location on the facilities provided by FIAT Auto.

The models as usual where were exposed on tables allowing to be admired and photographed without hindrance. Besides the figures were displayed in showcases illuminated as the remarkable figures collections by Pietro Cicero and Enzo Barazza.

The panoramic view of the lounge

If we look at the numbers we have a picture of a very important and impressive show, among the richest and most complete that the Italian market has to offer. Over 1000 models of 272 members in the competition, 75 associations, 62 individuals and over 20 juniors. They were also exhibited out of competition and display works of Andrea Vignocchi, Edoardo Rosso, Vincenzo Lanna, Fabio Sacchi and Gerard Jordana.

A time of award ceremony

Almost concurrently took place the first Web Model Contest with the participation of 35 modellers with 102 exhibit, whose final outcome has been announced during the awards ceremony.

On the last weekend, took place live techniques demonstrations of Rubén González, Diego Garcia and Joaquin Fernandez Forteza Gázquez which has also Alessandro Bruschi (see photos at right) and Vincenzo Lanna gived their contribution. The demonstrtions were accessible to everyone and not just those around the tables, thanks to video broadcast on two giant screens.

Members at work

As usual a market modeling was present, now much larger this time, located in an area close to the exhibition with the full employment of 35 stands available.

Further the numbers we should be considered a succesful event fort he great participation, even on weekdays when visitors were not modellers but mainly just curious had arrived at the Motor Village for other reasons and very pleased and surprised to disover the exhibition and the "world of modelling" and more for many positive feedbacks reached us. With a large turnout on the closing day the ceremony was attended by a crowd of modellers, friends and girlfriends, relatives and brothers. And even merely curious who had come at the Motor Village.
