From 16th to 18th september 2005 occured the 16^th International Show Contest “MODELLISMO CHE PASSIONE” at the Automobile Museum of Torino “Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia”. This way changed the four weeks formula adopted since to the usually seen one weekend show with models exposed on tables except for the figures in protected showcases. This change was not to easy to do for us and only after the show we can made a positive balance, thanks to the effort by all the club members that for this days ‘lived’ inside the museum. The numbers could give an idea about the exhibition: 270 modellers, 41 Clubs, with up to 750 models exposed with a remarkable participation from France and with up to 2134 visitors. Thanks to the hostess and stewards of I.P.C.T. “Paolo Boselli” for the security all take place as well.

Usually is to speak about the exhibit, maybe is better to speak about the atmosphere of this days.

All the classes were present with big presence of “civil vehicles” and “boats”, from the ancient pirogues to the modern carriers and with surprise and explosion in the fantasy class. The airplanes and military are always the main classes but now in the last one there is an increasing of 1/72 scale and can be compared to the greater scales.

Any organizer of a modellism contest know how is an hard work to judge when the quality level of exhibit is like this way. At the end of long discussion are assigned 29 gold prizes, 39 silver and 54 bronze, up to 139 total awards, further 11 special prizes and the “Best of Show” assigned to Francesco Lovo diorama' s SCI-FI named LAB E-110.

Should be a lot of modellers or models to mention but we want to denote the Juniores class with up to sixteen participants, all given prizes by younger CMT member Flavio seven years old. Is very important to thank Cristina new member of our club, with brave she venture upon the awarding ceremony the first time.

Always present at the show is the modellism market very good supplied this way, destination for all the modellers.

Should be a lot of people to thank for the good succeed of the contest so we want remember, our friend Demetrio Canale known during the event, he put himself at complete our disposition with is wonderful officer uniform of British Royal Navy. Thanks to the “Garrison Command” maybe the most important Italian Stars Wars renactors group, we thanks them, in particular way Giuseppe, for passion to play with us the patience to be photographed by all the visitors. Also I had a picture together an Imperial Assaulter with his white uniform.

We can boast to be present at the awarding ceremony two “true” officers one of the Italian Air Force and his colleague of Greek Air Force that given the prizes of the airplanes class, someone asked there they bought the uniforms.

All is happened inside the auditorium Museum that given formality and class at the awarding ceremony, so CMT cannot forget to appreciate and to thank the Automobile Museum for his availability of rooms.
